Ivy League Kitchen

For this home from the early 1900s, we worked in close collaboration with the homeowners to achieve a look that respected the period and the home’s architecture while still making a statement. Our team restored and reconfigured the built-in cabinets that were original to the kitchen. We cut out a section of those existing cabinets to create a pass-through from the kitchen into a room that they now use as a breakfast nook and library. Stand-out features of the kitchen include an exotic dark hardwood for the floor, and brilliant green lighting fixtures to pull the eye toward the custom millwork surrounding the windows and then out to the lush backyard. Reconstruction of the adjoining laundry room and mud room allow the three spaces to work harmoniously.
